VIZO AI Printing Masterclass

The science and AI theory of VIZO printing — five lectures and five labs

A one-week special course for international experts — engineers, scientists and designers. Its subject is the science and the AI theory behind VIZO printing: machine control and the VIZO AI Module, the physics of paste extrusion, materials science, printing for the body and for food, hemp science, and the road to market. Each day has three parts: the lecture (theory), the textbook (the complete book chapters, with their sources) and the lab. Its companion, the VIZO ART Printing Masterclass, covers the applied art of the same tools; the two courses do not repeat each other.

DAY 1

Physical AI and Machine Control

VIZO XY plotter (Marlin) with pen head · VIZO AI Module (touch display + Raspberry Pi + control board) · VIZO platform order page (remote order) · A second networked machine of another make

Lab: Physical AI bench — hand-written G-code, a remote order, three places of design

DAY 2

The Physics of Extrusion

FDM printer (enclosed, ventilated) · STE screw extruder · PTE piston extruder · Monkey-Bar Printer (PTE + Raspberry Pi + sensors) · Metal-paste route on STE (instructor-run)

Lab: Extrusion bench — ladders, seams and dose

DAY 3

Materials Science: Packing, Phase and Time

Paste printer with ceramic head (B2D) · Alginate bath station (paste nozzle into a CaCl₂ bath) · UV-LED curing unit · Drying box with thermo-hygrometer and 0.01 g scale · Water bath and thermometer (wax cooling curves)

Lab: Material data sheet — pack, dry, set, fill

DAY 4

Printing for Body and Food

Paste printer for biomedical lattice coupons (no use on a person) · Food paste printer (E3D coffee head, food-only lines) · VIZO Nail printer (UV-LED cure, Raspberry Pi agent, networked printer) · VIZO Tattoo transfer printing (practice sheets and pads only)

Lab: Body and food bench — window, dough, curve and consent

DAY 5

Hemp Science and the Market

Stem splitting and sieving bench (bast / hurd) · Moisture meter, 0.1 g scale and sieves · Hempcrete mould (100 mm cube) and tamper · THC-SAFE lot record and PK-16 report sheets (reading only) · Five-box carbon record form

Lab: From stem to wall to market
